We are a self-administered and self-managed real estate company focused on the ownership, operation, acquisition and development of self-storage facilities in the United States. According to the Self-Storage Almanac, we are the sixth largest owner and operator of self-storage facilities in the United States and, prior to the completion of this offering, the largest privately-owned operator of self-storage facilities in the United States, in each case based on number of units and rentable square footage. Upon completion of this offering, we will own and manage 155 self-storage facilities located in 19 states and aggregating approximately 9.9 million rentable square feet. We also will manage 19 additional self-storage facilities owned by an entity affiliated with our senior management. We will have an option to purchase these 19 facilities if certain conditions are met.
