Eagle Hospitality Properties Trust, Inc., a hotel investment company that intends to qualify as a REIT, is being formed to succeed to the first-class hotel business of Corporex Companies, Inc., a nationally-recognized commercial real estate company based in the Cincinnati metropolitan area. William P. Butler, our Chairman, and J. William Blackham, our Chief Executive Officer, as a result of their affiliation with Corporex, were key figures in the development, acquisition, financing and asset management of our initial hotels, all of which were either acquired by Corporex over five years ago or developed by Corporex. Our goal is to generate strong risk-adjusted returns on invested capital for our stockholders by consistently paying attractive dividends and achieving long-term appreciation in our first-class hotel investments.
